They will need to know how to embrace diverse points of view and work together without fear of failure. At The Tech, through every program, activity and experience, this is what we do. We provide hands-on experiences with science and technology specially designed to prepare the problem solvers of tomorrow and equip educators locally, nationally and globally to develop these skills in their students.

Your Impact
Title I Field Trips
There are few experiences as inspiring as a field trip to The Tech Interactive to unlock a love for science, engineering and problem-solving in students. Unfortunately, many schools lack the resources to support these types of field trips.
STEM Inclusion Initiative
The Tech is committed to closing the opportunity gap through intentional equity and inclusion practices that help these students from historically marginalized groups pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
The Bowers Institute: Professional Development for Educators
The Bowers Institute helps teachers bring Design Challenge Learning into the classroom through online resources and in-person workshops. This center houses The Tech Academies of Innovation, an in-depth program helping Silicon Valley educators understand how to incorporate engineering design into their curriculum.
The Tech Challenge
This signature program of The Tech is an annual design challenge for teams of students in Grades 4–12 to use the engineering design process to solve a real-world problem.
The Tech for Global Good
The Tech for Global Good empowers students to see themselves as leaders in the conversation about the future of our planet.
STEM Pathways
The STEM Pathways committee is comprised of cross-sector partners who are co-designing a system of connected, effective mentoring and career pathway supports and services to connect local marginalized youth to Silicon Valley careers.
