Bring Silicon Valley Innovation to your students
For 38 years young innovators in The Tech Challenge have learned critical thinking, teamwork and problem solving. We are excited to bring this amazing STEM program and all its fantastic resources to your community to ensure that all students have equitable access to the transformative power of STEM education. This opportunity provides support such as:

Key Program Points
- Dual Enrollment: High School students can receive 12 units and a California State Certificate of Achievement in Research, Design, and Development for Global Good from Foothill College
- We offer a variety of FREE support events and resources to help teams and advisers prepare for The Tech Challenge
- Professional development for educators that serve as a team advisor (stipend may be available)
- Reimbursement for Transportation to showcase in San Jose (while funds are available)
- Prior Knowledge: There are no special skills that students or advisers need to have to participate
- Materials: You do not need to purchase kits or special materials, students are expected to design and build using any materials that they can find. The challenge is designed to be solved for $50-$100 on average.
- The Tech Challenge aligns with Common Core Standards, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and helps students build 21st century skills like communication, collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving.
