Juniors

Learn how robots work in our Robo-Designers badge program! Juniors will have the opportunity to see different robots in action in the Robots IMAX movie. Then you'll discover how robots receive instructions, create your own simple algorithms, and code a robot to carry out your commands.

• $5 goes to Girl Scouts of Northern California.
• This program covers all 5 steps in the Programing Robots Badge, and entry to The Tech Interactive for the whole day. It also includes the Robots IMAX, the badge, and a Tech fun patch.

Are you ready to design your own entertainment company? In this badge program, Junior Girl Scouts will animate their own artwork, and learn about video game design. They'll build prototypes of roller coasters to learn the science behind the screams, make their own 3-D glasses, and experiment with sound.

• This program covers all 5 steps in the Entertainment Technology Badge, and entry to The Tech Interactive for the whole day. Juniors will go home with the badge and a Tech fun patch.

Do you have what it takes to be a Tech Detective? Juniors and Cadettes will begin by practicing the art of forensic drawing & fingerprinting, and learning about codes. They will explore the role of DNA in forensics - what it is, what it does, and how it helps solve crimes. Finally they will extract their own DNA, and use what they have learnt to make an identification from ancient DNA!

*This class has been combined with the Cadette Special Agent badge program and will host both Junior and Cadette girls.
