Mushroom Bricks Put the FUN in Fungi!
In this hands-on experience, you’ll use mycelium — the root structure of fungi — to create a lightweight, durable brick. Mycelium binds materials together like natural glue and is already being explored as an eco-friendly replacement for insulation, packaging, textiles, and more.
Choose a mold, pack it with mycelium-infused wood particles, and watch nature’s own engineering take shape! Scientists and designers are using mushrooms and similar biomaterials to reduce waste and replace everyday materials with renewable alternatives, offering a game-changing alternative for sustainable design.
